What this is
Batch from Scratch is a test version shared with friends. It is run by WM Commercial Advisory Ltd, 23 Silver Street, Stony Stratford MK11 1JS, which is responsible for the information below. This page says what we store about you and your household, and why.
What we store
Your username and password, or your email address, and your name, so you can sign in. The password is stored scrambled, so nobody can read it, us included. Your household: the people you cook for, their portion sizes and their food preferences. What is in your kitchen, your shopping list, the recipes you add, and what you cook and eat. Feedback you send, with who sent it and which version of the app and kind of phone it came from. Sent from the Feedback tab, it also keeps a picture of the screen you were on, which can show names and food preferences (you see it first and can take it off), the screen’s name, and the names of the last things you tapped, without anything you typed.
Food preferences
Diets, allergies and dislikes can say something about a person’s health or beliefs. We store them only if you agree when the app asks, at the first one chosen, and use them only to check meals for your household. You can change or remove them at any time: under Settings for the whole household, under Household for each person. Removing someone from your household deletes theirs with them. If you add them for someone else, make sure they are happy for you to.
Who can see it
Only the members of your household, and the two of us who run the test when we need to fix a problem. Feedback, and its pictures, go to the two of us alone. We do not sell or share your information, and there is no advertising.
Where it is kept
On servers run for us by Supabase. Sign-in emails are sent for us by Resend. Your phone keeps a copy of your household so the app still opens without signal; signing out removes it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and what we hold about you within a month.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it and your account. Email [email protected] or write to the address above, and it will be done within a month.
